Maine Lifestyle Photography Session: The Glennan Family

I adored this family lifestyle photography session with the Glennan family. It’s a perfect example of how the lifestyle approach to photography takes those subtle moments in time and creates extraordinary images that will be with you forever. The Glennan family, who lives in Washington D.C., vacations in Maine quite frequently. It holds a special place in their lives and so they wanted images while they were here on the coast. They rented a cozy AirBnb where we started the shoot before we ventured out to the beach for some fun!
I love an in-home portion for your family lifestyle session because it allows for you to get comfortable in front of the camera. You can mimic your every day life - bed time, morning routines, reading books or cooking your favorite meal. It’s also a chance to reflect on how freakin’ beautiful those little moments of your life truly are. For the Glennan family, we hung out in the kitchen and around the bedroom for some simple moments and with their 3-month old Fiona, full of cuddles, tiny toes and some hysterical facial expressions only a baby could make look absolutely adorable.
After that, we headed out to play in the tall coastal grasses and spend some time by the ocean, just like they always do as a family when visiting Maine. The rocky shores and beach cottages were the perfect backdrop as they soaked in the serene environment as a family.
We had such a blast! To top it off, I couldn’t get over how much I loved their style! Maybe I loved it so much because each new outfit they brought out for baby Fiona, I immediately thought, “we own that!” If I didn’t already have it for Kaylie, I made a mental note so I for my next online shopping haul HAHA! What can I say!? Great minds think alike. I’m lucky to serve such stylish clients. It’s like a never-ending idea bank for my own family!
