Let me guess…

Do you spend more money on bougie kid’s clothes than you do going out to eat?

Do you swear constantly and just hope your one-year-old doesn't repeat it at daycare?

Do you have tattoos under that cardigan?

Oh hey, me too. I’m so glad you’re here.

Hi, I’m Mariah —

Your family’s photographer

Macklemore said it best:

My greatest achievement is my daughter (s)

Okay, this is going to sound a little strange, so bear with me. I was in the car driving to a recent session, music blasting—you know, the normal—when I realized Macklemore wrote the first part of this section perfectly for me: “My greatest achievement isn't the dollars. My greatest achievement isn't the followers. My greatest achievement isn't the accolades. My greatest achievement is my daughter.”

As parents, we all know that life changes once these beautiful creatures (yes, they are creatures) come into our lives. But most importantly, they are the best things that ever happen to us and it’s almost impossible to put into words what they mean, but these photos can do just that. They will show your love through and through. It is an incredible gift to me to be able to document Kaylie & Karsyn and, it is an incredible gift to me to be able to do the same thing for you. So, get behind my camera with your greatest achievement and live forever in those beautiful moments.

I practice what I preach.

My house is full of framed photographs, albums and little prints stuck into the corners of mirrors and pinned on the fridge. I have never once looked at them and regretted the investment I made having photographers capture our family. These photos mean the world to be and I want to be able to give you the same tangible memories that will live forever.

My favorite feeling is nostalgia…

It’s looking back on those moments in life that I want to relive over and over again. And you know what? It’s always the moments that are the simplest. They are full of joy, comfort, and connection. So, that’s what I want to capture for you.

A little more about me:

SOCCER. Play it, watch it, hopefully, one day coach it. (Why are the busy season and soccer season the same?!)

1

Obsessed with all things office supplies—to-do lists, pens, planners, notebooks. Yes, please.

2

I live my life in neutral colors as much as possible and stay away from yellow like it's the plague.

3

Take me to a national park and I am as happy as can be. We just aren’t tropical beach-type of vacationers.

4

The soundtrack to my life — Maggie Rogers to The Lumineers to Macklemore to Three Days Grace with a side of some country and classics from my childhood.

5

Falling asleep to FRIENDS - (this one isn’t actually true since the night we brought Kaylie home but I’m not ready to let it go yet...)

“I think I am drawn to photography because of its ability to be poetry. Thank you Mariah for creating poetry for us of this stage of life.”
