In-Home Family Session in Portland, Maine

I had the best time capturing this in-home family session in Portland, Maine! Brian and Taylor are so easy to talk to and I always enjoy my time with them. Their little girl, Charlie, is an absolute doll! I did a session for this family last year and I was so happy to catch up with them again. So much changes in a year’s time!

Brian and Taylor’s home is absolutely stunning. Our session last year was outside while they were in the process of the full home renovation. The final results blew my mind! Which isn’t surprising since Taylor works in architecture. She styled the home herself and obviously put a ton of love and passion into the project. I love their design style and their home made the most incredible backdrop for their in-home family session.

Capturing this family in their own environment felt so natural. It’s one of the reasons I love shooting in-home sessions! Clients are able to relax and feel in control of the space, particularly my littlest clients. Charlie warmed right up to me! She was such a little love bug and wanted to hang out with me. She just had to sit in my lap which was so adorable and made me feel right at home!

I always enjoy spending time with this family. They are so welcoming and down to earth. We connect a lot over our kiddos since they are pretty close in age. I have been enjoying this so much as a mother and business owner. The last time I was with them for a session, I even ordered Kaylie, my daughter, a lovevery toy subscription which came highly recommended by them! At-home sessions always seem to be more laid back and allow room for more connection. Clients, don’t be intimidated by having an in-home family session. Your home is even more beautiful than you realize and the memories that are made there are WORTH capturing.

Brian, Taylor and Charlie - thank you so much for inviting me into your home to capture this session for your beautiful family! Your renovated home is gorgeous and I hope it brings your family so much joy and happiness over the years that you live there.
